Phoenix officer stops alleged robbery in progress

A Phoenix officer was in the area when an alleged robbery took place and took down the fleeing suspect. The suspect pulled a gun on the officer, forcing the officer to draw and fire his own weapon. The suspect was taken into custody and taken to the hospital where they are expected to survive their injuries.
