Gaza Detainees Freed: Abuse and Torture Allegations Surface

Israeli authorities released 15 detainees from Gaza today after they were held in Ofter prison since October 7. The detainees, who received first aid at Kissufim checkpoint and were later transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, reported severe abuse, including torture, sexual assaults, and overcrowded conditions. The release follows previous disclosures of mistreatment and the detention of nine Israeli soldiers involved in the abuse. Over 100 detainees remain in dire conditions with inadequate treatment
