Ryan Braunberger serves as the inaugural Senator for North Dakota’s newly established District 10 in Fargo, following his election in November 2022. He is among the few Democratic Senators in the state, contributing to legislative processes as part of the Judiciary Committee and the State and Local Government Committee. His legislative efforts are guided by his commitment to fairness and justice, reflecting his dedication to his constituents' well-being. Braunberger’s progressive stance and advocacy have earned him recognition and respect within the community.
In addition to his role in the Senate, Braunberger holds the position of Democratic-NPL Caucus Chair. His academic background includes a magna cum laude degree in social work from Minnesota State University Moorhead and an Associate of Applied Sciences in Business Administration from Southeast Technical Institute. His professional affiliations include membership in the National Association of Social Workers. Braunberger’s career extends beyond politics, having worked in various capacities at WEX, ranging from customer service to senior account management, and as a transportation specialist for Uber and Lyft.
Braunberger’s involvement in the community is extensive. He has served as the Community Co-Chair for the North Dakota Community Planning Group for HIV and Viral Hepatitis Prevention, Treatment, and Care from 2015 to 2019. His contributions to the community were recognized when he received the Library Champion Award in 2023. Additionally, he has been actively involved in several interim committees and task forces, such as the Judiciary Interim Committee and the Health Care Task Force, addressing various critical issues within the state.
