1.8.2024 Kuranda Skate Park

Although not as extravagant as the facilities being built in Redlynch and Gordonvale it's a vast improvement on what it was, which was unusable. A light that works (no need for it to be on in the daylight though), new seating and undercover areas - soon the skaters of Kuranda will have a place they can actually skate on! We would still like to see a couple of drinking fountains installed but will settle for one.
A big shout out and thank you to TRACQS who did what Mareeba Shire Council couldn't seem to bring themselves to do anything about for close to 20 years.
Would it be a worthwhile gesture if somebody in Mareeba Shire Council organised some RADF or other funding and some local Kuranda artists to 'funk' it up a little?
We think it would.
