Dale Ahlquist, President of the GK Chesterton Society, and I dissect the profound impact of 'Localism' as the antidote to the swelling tide of globalism. Prepare to uncover the treasures and enduring wisdom of the Catholic Churchs social teaching, offering a blueprint for ownership and independence that stands in stark contrast with the shortcomings of both unbridled capitalism and socialism.

Feel the pulse of community empowerment as we delve into the crucial balance of personal and societal obligations. Our conversation will transport you to the heart of local economies and the essence of democracy, where the principles of subsidiarity and solidarity take center stage. Together, we'll navigate the challenging waters of preserving the core pillars of society—marriage, family, and faith—against the backdrop of political and economic centralization. Be inspired by tangible success stories from around the world, including Senator Marco Rubio's reflections on "Localism in American Politics" and the influence of small ownership on a thriving economy.

Finally, our episode transcends the theoretical, offering practical insights and strategies for nurturing a fulfilling life. Discover the transformative power of connecting with our immediate surroundings, prioritizing family, self-sufficiency, and community cohesion. We'll tackle the pressing issues of technology's grip and the true meaning of wealth, leaving you with a renewed perspective on how to foster a more grounded existence.

Dramatic “encounters” with Jesus Christ at his dying brother’s bedside and again in the Eucharist at his brother’s funeral, brought him back into the Church after a twenty-year absence. While attending graduate school in Theology, Jack came across the teaching of Pope John Paul II’s “Theology of the Body.” He immediately understood that this was the treasure he had been seeking all his life, sold everything, and now travels the country presenting Parish Missions, Retreats, and Classes.
