Dr. Digby James Wren is the Chair of Belt and Road Capital Partners, a geopolitical risk, investment and trade, public diplomacy and education partnership advisory firm. Dr. Wren is also the founder and publisher of Long Mekong Media and advisor to the President of the Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC). He holds research degrees in both International Relations and Public Diplomacy and is Dean of the RAC Media LAB, Policy LAB and the Young ASEAN Minds Education program.

Dr. Wren is an Advisory Board Member of the Belt and
Road Caucus for Asia-Pacific (BRICAP), the Pakistan Institute of International Relations and Media (PIIRM), and Associate Editor of Taihe Observer in Beijing.

Dr. Wren is a regular guest on China Global Television Network (CGTN), Bloomberg TV and
Singapore CNA current affairs programs and regular commentator for CGTN’s Beijing Hour and World Today radio programs. He is also a regular contributor to the China Daily, Global Times, Khmer Times and many other international media outlets. Dr. Wren is a sought after public speaker and regular guest for interviews, conferences, seminars and public information events.

Dr. Wren has taught International Relations, History and Politics, China and ASEAN Area Studies, Media and Communications, Academic Research design and Writing, and Intercultural Understanding at a number of universities in China and elsewhere. Current research activities include Global Political Economy, Lancang/Mekong Riparian Relations, Environmental Diplomacy, Social Relations and Economic Development, Southeast Asian and East Asian Relations, China's Belt and Road Initiative, China-Australia Relations, China-US Relations, Geoeconomics and Geo-politics and International Education Partnerships.

In addition to his current academic and media responsibilities, Dr. Wren has enjoyed a 40 year career in Media and Communications winning many awards working for leading corporations and government. He was both the Publisher of a number of visual arts and popular culture magazines and Australia’s first sports newspaper. Finally, Dr. Wren holds a diploma in cinematography and a passionate advocate of intangible cultural heritage.
