Emily in Paris Season 4 returns in a brand-new and exciting trailer.
Emily faces a love triangle while Sylvie deals with a personal crisis.
Part 1 will premiere on August 15, 2024, followed by Part 2 on September 12, 2024.
Fans of Emily in Paris have something to look forward to this summer as the hit Netflix series returns with its fourth season, split into two five-episode parts. Part 1 will premiere on August 15, 2024, followed by Part 2 on September 12, 2024, and Netflix has just released the trailer for the upcoming chaos. The new season picks up after the dramatic fallout of Camille and Gabriel's ill-fated wedding. Emily (Lily Collins) finds herself in an emotional whirlwind, torn between two men: Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), who is now expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), whose worst fears about Emily and Gabriel have been confirmed.

At work, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) faces a complex dilemma from her past that threatens her marriage, while the Agence Grateau team navigates significant personnel changes. Mindy (Ashley Park) and her band gear up for Eurovision, but financial troubles force them to get creative and thrifty. Meanwhile, Emily and Gabriel’s undeniable chemistry intensifies as they collaborate towards achieving a Michelin star, but two major secrets loom, threatening to unravel all their hard work and dreams.

Created, executive produced, and written by Darren Star, the creative team behind Emily in Paris includes executive producers Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Alison Brown, and Robin Schiff. Co-executive producers are Stephen Brown, Grant Sloss, and Joe Murphy, with Ryan McCormick, Raphaël Benoliel, Lily Collins, and Jake Fuller serving as producers.

Ashley Park Returns to 'Emily in Paris' After a Health Scare
The trailer shows us the return of Ashley Park's Mindy, which is wonderful to see after she very nearly lost her life. The actress contracted tonsilitis back in January which, to quote a social media post from her, "spiraled into critical septic shock" and left her in hospital requiring urgent care, but thankfully, she was able to return to work a few weeks after the event, and fans will be thrilled to see Mindy back on the scene.

As Emily in Paris continues to capture the imaginations of audiences worldwide, the fourth season is poised to deliver even more of the stylish escapism, romantic entanglements, and cultural clashes that have made it a global sensation.

Stay tuned to Collider for more updates on Emily in Paris Season 4 and other exciting TV and film news. You can check out the trailer for the fourth season of Emily in Paris above. The series returns to Netflix on August 15.

Things are getting more complicated for Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) as the Emily in Paris Season 4 trailer (above) picks up where Season 3 left off.

The series’ fourth season will be split into two parts, each consisting of five episodes. Part 1 arrives August 15 followed by the conclusion on September 12.

In the trailer, Emily thinks she’s telling her best French friend Mindy (Ashley Park) about all the hot men she saw on her morning run, but when she confirms that she is neither with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) nor Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), Gabriel sticks his head out of the shower asking “You’re not with Alfie?”

Per the logline, “After the dramatic events of Camille Camille Razat) and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding, Emily is reeling: She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed. At work, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigate personnel shakeups.”

“Mindy and the band prepare for Eurovision, but when funds run dry, they’re forced to get thrifty. Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry is undeniable as they work together towards a Michelin star, but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of.”

Mindy reminds viewers that Camille’s decision at the end of Season 3 has made it possible for Emily and Gabriel to finally be together.

“The man who is still having a baby with a woman who’s in love with another woman and I’m the only one that knows about it?” Emily quips at Mindy, who says “Well, no relationship is perfect.”

Meanwhile, Emily and Alfie’s breakup has gone viral after they posed nearly kissing for an Ami ad, and Sylvie is not happy about it.

“You broadcast your entire life for public consumption, and now it’s affecting my business,” Sylvie tells Emily.

Later, Alfie shares with Emily that he needs more time after she visits him at a boxing workout.

Things aren’t looking great between her and Julien (Samuel Arnold) either, as was hinted last season when he got mad at Emily for stealing his thunder. He reminds her how she’s interfered with him for the last time at a tennis match.

Amid tensions, Emily confronts Camille while they row boats in a pond, and when Gabriel tells her he’s sick of all the secrets, she screeches, “So am I!” back at him.

Emily hints to Mindy that she might be ready for something new, while also admitting, “I really thought that I could move on from them, but they both mean so much to me for different reasons.”

“I promised myself I’d be open to any possibility,” she says as the clip concludes and she looks between Alfie and Gabriel at a masquerade event, and her gaze falls somewhere in the middle as she finishes the sentence: “And this seems like it’s the one.”

Created, executive produced and written by Darren Star Emily in Paris also stars Bruno Gouery and William Abadie. Collins produces alongside Ryan McCormick, Raphaël Benoliel and Jake Fuller. Executive producers include Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Alison Brown and Robin Schiff. Stephen Brown, Grant Sloss and Joe Murphy are co-executive producers. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Darren Star Productions and Jax Media.

Is there a trailer for Emily in Paris season 4?
Yes—and, predictably, it’s jam-packed full of eye-popping costumes, tense confrontations, and bombastic on-stage performances. Watch it below.

Who will be in the cast of Emily in Paris Season 4?
Lily Collins and Ashley Park will return as Emily and Mindy, alongside the show’s other stalwarts: Camille Razat (Camille), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Samuel Arnold (Julien), and Bruno Gouery (Luc). However, a question remains over the fate of Lucien Laviscount’s Alfie—the actor was promoted to a series regular last season, but his character stormed off in the final episode of the third installment, seemingly marking the end of his on-again-off-again relationship with Emily. Darren Star, Emily in Paris’s creator, hinted at Alfie’s future in an interview with Deadline in December 2022, saying: “I don’t think romantically he is in the picture [anymore]. I don’t think that [takes] Alfie out of the show. He certainly has a reason to be in Paris, and he’s working with Gabriel. I feel like all of our characters are still connected, just in a more complicated way.”

And as for new additions to the cast? On July 18, the streamer revealed that none other than the beloved British actor Rupert Everett would be coming on board as Giorgio Barbieri, the owner of a global interior design firm based in Rome, who has been friends with Sylvie for decades and makes it his business to know everyone else’s business, and to be the life of every party. There’s also the dashing Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello, a confident Roman who is “substantive but never flashy—true to the roots of his family’s company”; Anna Galiena as Antonia Muratori, his mother, the matriarch of the Muratori family and the head of their family business; Raoul Bova as Giancarlo, a charming, self-assured Roman commercial director who used to be Sylvie’s film professor; and Thalia Besson as Genevieve, Sylvie’s husband Laurent’s 20-something daughter from a past relationship, who’s just moved from New York City to Paris to start her career. “Her bright, eager demeanour immediately endears her to Emily, who’s thrilled to have an American expat to mentor,” the network revealed. “But their similarities may end up complicating Emily’s life—both professionally and personally.”

What will be the plot of Emily in Paris Season 4?
While Star hasn’t revealed specific plot points for Season 4, he did give fans a taste of what they can expect in his interview with Deadline. Of Emily’s relationship with Gabriel, he said: “I think that a big question to think about [in] the next season is, Emily didn’t come to Paris for romance, she came for a job, and I think they’re both in a different, more mature place in their lives, Emily and Gabriel, and definitely a more complicated place.” He added that the pair and Gabriel’s ex Camille would, in all likelihood, continue to co-exist, and perhaps even remain in the same building. “They are all involved in each other’s lives, they are friends, they work together,” he continued. “They’re all very much tied together. But I just think there were some big unforeseen complications here, especially for Emily. And perhaps Emily-Gabriel is not meant to be, at least in the immediate future.”

Star also stated that we could see more of Camille’s former lover Sofia (Melia Kreiling), and will almost certainly be seeing more of Sylvie’s husband Laurent (Arnaud Binard). The theme of Season 4, he added, would be “how to balance business and toxic relationships, because that’s going to be happening with a lot of our characters.” And as for Mindy, who is dating Nico (Paul Forman) but due to perform at Eurovision with her ex Benoît (Kevin Dias)? “Both will be in her life,” confirmed Star. “I don’t know what the details of filming are but I think that our plan is to go to Eurovision next season. We’re all set up for it.”

And there is, of course, another trip on the cards, too. On June 17, 2023, Netflix released an announcement video featuring Lily Collins, in which the actor said: “While Emily’s heart will always stay true to Paris, her life takes some unexpected twists this season. Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.” We can hardly wait.

Then, on June 5, 2024, Lily Collins finally shared some tantalizing first stills, after which Netflix released the official Season 4 synopsis: “After the dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding, Emily is reeling: she has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed. At work, Sylvie is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel shake-ups. Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry is undeniable as they work together towards a Michelin star, but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of.”

When is the release date for Emily in Paris Season 4?
The fourth installment—like The Crown and Bridgerton before it—will land in two parts, with the first five episodes arriving on August 15, and the second set of five on September 12. In the video which confirmed the news, cast members were asked to choose three words to describe the upcoming season. Among the phrases they picked? Vulnerable, messy, chaotic, and heartbreaking. Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu’s Sylvie, however, only needs one word: “Revenge.”

Will there be more seasons of Emily in Paris?
It looks like it, yes. When asked by Deadline if Season 4 will be the show’s final chapter, Star replied, “I definitely think the show has a life beyond next season. There’s no end in sight until everybody feels like it’s time to end.”

So, has Emily in Paris Season 5 officially been confirmed?
Not quite yet. There was much confusion back in may when, during the amfAR gala at the Cannes Film Festival, Winnie Harlow and Paris Jackson appeared on stage to auction off a walk-on role in Emily in Paris Season 5 for charity. In the official auction booklet, the listing read: “From Sex and the City to Emily in Paris, Darren Star brings dreams to life, and he will bring the film dreams to life for one lucky bidder with a walk-on role during season five of Emily in Paris. As part of the walk-on role, the winning bidder will have the opportunity to spend a day on set in Paris during filming sometime after April 2025. To tide you over until then, the winning bidder and a guest are invited to attend the Los Angeles premiere of Emily in Paris season four this August.” Harlow and Jackson added that Season 5 is scheduled to begin shooting in mid 2025, and the eventual winner of the auction shelled out a whopping €250,000.
