Day 175: Supertramp's "The Logical Song" and New Sobriety Approach @supertrampofficial7655 #sober
Today, on day 175 of my sobriety journey, I listened to "The Logical Song" by Supertramp. This track holds a special place in my heart as it brings back memories of a difficult time in my life. At 16, I was sent to a foster home, feeling like such a burden to my family that sending me away seemed like the only option. Despite having hope for a better life, the foster home turned out to be a challenging environment, leaving me worse off than when I arrived.
Before diving into the music, I discussed my new approach to sobriety. Recently, I’ve pulled away from traditional meetings—not because I believe they’re not valuable, but because I feel the need to explore a different path. I’m not saying I’ll never attend meetings again, but for now, I’m taking a break. This decision isn’t taken lightly, and I constantly check in with myself to ensure it’s not my addiction playing tricks on my mind. So far, I feel fine and believe I’m on the right track.
The phrase "if you do the same things, you will get the same results" has stuck with me. Perhaps this new way is the path I’m meant to take. I'm taking small steps and observing the outcomes, hoping this change will lead to personal growth and a deeper understanding of my journey.
Supertramp's "The Logical Song" resonates deeply with me. Its lyrics reflect my personal struggles and the search for meaning and identity. This song is a reminder of who I am and the journey I've been on.
