7/31/24 card: focus

Many of us dabble our way through life and then wonder why we don’t achieve our big goals and dreams. I often think about hugely successful musicians who crashed on their friends’ couches and packed themselves and their bandmates into dilapidated vans to get to tiny gigs, just so they wouldn’t have to have day jobs that would distract them from their art. But even goals like weight loss, better sleep, learning a new skill, or managing your money take focus. If you really want to achieve something, commit to it. Make it a priority and say no to the things that don’t feed it.
