Grand Rising , join Ptah Shakur and Shareef Hammed as they host the "Hour of Power" weekly live call in show.

This week's guest is Jolly Valez ,a local event promoter hosting a series of event at the Ballroom located at 222 Arsenal Rd. On Aug. 9th the "Baddies Party " with Tinkaabellaaa & Friends; August 17th the All you can Eat "Crabfest" with a portion of proceeds for the York Bears Youth Sports Program; August 31st the Live Music Fest featuring Styles P from the Lox, and up and coming music artists. Also Jolly will host the Latin Music Fest in Penn Park on September 14th, featuring performance, games and vendors for all ages.

Additionally Bridget Barnes called in to share about events planned by the Mother Hemp Holistic Healing LLC which includes the annual Cannabis Health Fair at Kiwanis Lake on August 24th from 11 Am- 8 Pm

Both ladies talked about the impact recently deceased Harry Colon had on them and the continuation of the "Youth Empowerment Games" community event merging inner city youth and law enforcement , to foster positive relations in the city. The Youth Empowerment games are scheduled on September 21 at Albemarle Park from 1 Pm - 6 pm.

The ladies are looking for donations and volunteers for all the wonderful events planned. Please support these local hero's looking to make a lasting positive difference in our community.
