Molly, the girl inside the burger costume, had been working for the local burger joint, Busty Burgers , for months. She loved her job, not just for the paycheck, but for the smiles she brought to people’s faces as she handed out leaflets and coupons. As Molly was cheerfully distributing leaflets to passers by, she noticed something strange. Across the plaza, a man in a hotdog costume was making his way toward her. His costume was sad and cheap looking complete with mustard and ketchup squiggles.

Molly watched in amusement at first, but then realized he was getting awfully close to her pitch. The nerve of this guy, she thought, trying to muscle in on her territory!

The hotdog man, whose name was Sam, danced over to her side of the plaza, his bun swaying comically. “Hey there, Burger Girl,” he said with a grin. “Nice spot you’ve got here. Mind if I join you?”

Molly put her hands on her foam hips and glared at him through her mesh eyeholes. “Actually, I do mind. This is my pitch. Why don’t you go find your own corner of the plaza?”

Sam chuckled, clearly enjoying the rivalry. “Oh, come on. There’s plenty of room for both of us. Besides, what’s a hotdog without a burger to compete with?”
