Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
1/4 cup cold water (optional, for thickening)
Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:

Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Lightly coat the chicken breasts with flour, shaking off any excess.
Cook the Chicken:

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides and fully cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce:

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add the soy sauce, honey, water, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine.
Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Thicken the Sauce (Optional):

If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry.
Add the cornstarch slurry to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Combine Chicken and Sauce:

Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for a few minutes to soak up the flavors.
Serve:

Transfer the chicken to a serving platter.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Enjoy:

Serve the honey garlic chicken with steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
Tips:
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken breasts in a mixture of soy sauce, honey, garlic, and apple cider vinegar for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
If you like a bit of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
