Rhodope Treasures: Episode 2: Kardzhali #4k

Welcome to Episode 2 of our series, “Rhodope Treasures.”

In this episode, we are going to focus on the town of Kardzhali, nestled in the eastern Rhodope Mountains.

The highlight of this episode is going to be the visit to the church complex: “The Assumption of Virgin Mary.” During our journey, you’ll uncover the fascinating history of this sacred complex, where miracles have bridged the gap between Christians and Muslims.

We are also going to talk about the enduring legacy of Father Saraev, who dedicated 30 years of his life to rebuild and maintain the church complex. Although he has recently passed away, his goodness lives on in perpetuity.

At the end of the episode, I am going to share some footage from Kardzhali’s city center, and I will tell you my impressions of the city.
