"Either make your move... or step off!" Tubi Movies has revealed the official trailer for Robbin, a revenge thriller from filmmaker Chris Stokes. This Tubi creation will be streaming on Tubi next month - and it's not even the first movie this year from Stokes debuting on Tubi (he also made I Hate You to Death). Stokes went from being a music manager to working as a filmmaker, directing House Party 4 and You Got Served before going on to become a Tubi regular, creating Tubi movies by the dozen for the free streaming service. In this one, fresh out of jail for crimes she didn't commit, a banker seeks revenge by enlisting her closest friends to help her rob banks and get justice. So another modern day spin on Robin Hood, hence this "Robbin'" title? Singer / actress Serayah stars, along with Erica Pinkett and Lawrence Robinson. This looks extremely cheesy and extremely cheap, but hey, that's what Tubi is known for anyway. Some will find this entertaining.

Robbin is directed by American producer / writer / filmmaker Chris Stokes (aka Christopher B. Are you prepared for a wild and exciting journey of vengeance, justice, and daring criminal escapades? Chris Stokes is the director of many amazing movies and now the movie ‘Robbin' is his new invention which is supposed to out on Tubi on the 10th of August, 2024. This time around it is Serayah, who takes the centre stage as she portrays the life of a young banker out of jail due to crimes she did not commit.

I was intrigued by ‘Robbin' that has an all-star cast with Serayah McIntosh in the lead followed by Erica Pinkett and Lawrence Robinson. Serayah is famous for acting and singing, and she also does a great job here; the audience will be on her side no matter what. Juanita Stokes was the movie's producer while Marques Houston and Chris Stokes were the executive producers showing that quality production was a top priority.

A Director with a Proven Track Record

Chris Stokes has one of the most illustrious careers in music management and has gone on to create a name for himself in the film industry. Some of his previous works include ‘House Party 4' and ‘You Got Served' which are some of the favorite movies of the fans as well as proving his skill in cattle herding. With ‘Robbin', Stokes remains consistent with his portfolio as a productive and ranging director for Tubi movies as he has done for other few years.

Plot and Premise

In ‘Robbin', Serayah plays a role of a woman who desires to get revenge after serving time in jail for a crime she did not commit. Together with her friends, she designs and performs several robberies of various banks with the evident purpose of regaining an independent life and receiving compensation for the injustice done. The film is a contemporary rendition of the legendary Robin Hood story with the blend of action, drama and a heroic mission making the film interesting and worthwhile to watch.

Vertical has revealed an official trailer for an indie film titled Catching Dust, which first premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival last year. The film marks the feature directorial debut of British filmmaker Stuart Gatt after a few other shorts, and opens in the US in August. As Geena decides to leave her criminal husband Clyde and their isolated Texas hideout, a couple from NY suddenly arrive with a trailer. Ignoring the risks, she convinces Clyde to let them stay, a decision that leads to dangerous consequences for everyone involved. Tribeca adds: "In this fascinating look at how couples sustain relationships, even in the face of erosion and dismay, audiences will grapple with the friction of romantic pursuits and conflicting friendships as much as Geena and Clyde do in Stuart Gatt's directorial debut." The indie movie stars Erin Moriarty, Dina Shihabi, Ryan Corr, and Jai Courtney. This looks like it's a dusty thriller about two couples with so many buried secrets they can't contain them all.
