EXPLORING French Camp Log Cabin Shelter Picnic Area | Lostine River Wallowa Whitman Eagle Cap Oregon

On July 12, 2024, I explored the Lostine River Zone in Wallowa Whitman National Forest on the edge of Eagle Cap Wilderness approaching from the North. I stopped at every piece of infrastructure in the area with a focus on Campgrounds and Hiking Trails. This is the French Camp Day Use Picnic Area. It consists of an American Heritage Rustic Log Cabin Shelter available for Group Picnic Day Use, as well as 2 Day Use Picnic Single Sites on the other side of the Forest Road right up against the Shoreline with great access to National Wild & Scenic Lostine River!
