Why do roses have two colors?

The lighter rose is the older rose. The sun burns the color of the roses in our garden. It's such a hot summer.

When you are gardening and this happens with flowers, you feel as if you have been deceived :) But in rural life this happens often. Especially when you watch politicians on TV :)
