Psalm 91
[[A verse by verse description and my commentary in double brackets.]]

He who [dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].
2
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”

[[The key to your safety is in the first two verses of Psalm 91:1-2.
I can already hear some who will say. “I don’t need protection!” You only say such things because you don’t know the supernatural incoming.]]

[[There those who live in the vestibule. Only on occasion run into the Sanctuary and ultimately run into God’s Presence, if only for a part time experience.]]

[[We will not fault in them for having a need, to sense God’s Goodness, when they are hurting.
What better place to heal, than the very place of protection in the midst of God’s Love.]]

[[Living in God’s Love and in his Mercy, full-time.]]

[[Rounders in a vacation community is an altogether many sided thing of Beauty.]]

[[Continually bathed in the Light Christ’s Kindness and Love
I’m talking about Living in the Mysterious Light of the Inner Sanctuary.]]

[[This Psalm is giving us a hiding place to run into in the middle of a storm]]

“remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand”

[[A bulwark. A wall of protection that no force, no enemy can overcome God’s Protection. ]]
“ I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”
[[I will declare to anyone who will listen, but especially to God in secret and then in the congregation.
I am not ashamed of our common Faith in Jesus the Christ. ]]
“My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”

[[A Slice Of Life
Please bear with me now, as I relate one of heritage story. I am not completely sure of the time frame in history, but none-the-less it is ingrained into our family’s story]].

[[As the story goes, the Unruh family were Christian believers. More than likely followers of one of the many Anabaptist groups in Eastern Europe.
Very primitive Christian pacifist believers of the early 1700s, Ukraine Southern Russia.]]

[[One of the many times when a Czar or a Reptilian Blue Blood needed cannon fodder for his or her satanic sacrifice in conquest.
tHey would always go looking into the hinterlands for the willing and or for the unwilling victims. ]]

[[The Unruh family had heard of the enlistment soldiers who were on their way to their small peasant village.]]

[[As they were a small multi-generational family of believers, they all knelt beside a chair, or knelt crouched on the floor. Old and young alike. What did matter, a little discomfort, in the face of a family name being decimated. ]

[[Soon, they could hear the screams of the Mothers and Wives whaling in fear for their men folk.]]

[[We all knew what would be the condition of the boys, who saw combat, if they returned at all.]]

[[Some broken in body, some broken in spirit, but all were affected.
Some better for it, but most never wanted to talk directly about [it]. ]]

[[The house on the right is now filled with screaming and yelling; the sounds of bodies clashing—thrashing about. No one ran, because no one was a coward or a criminal. ]]

[[The sounds of chaotic pandemonium, erupted in the small neighborhood. The sounds which only comes from hate supercharged with evil. ]]

[[The Unruh family were silently praying, as they were regularly wont to do.
A few sobs, as the men and women prayed fervently.
They, separately and corporately quickly entered into the Presence of God. ]]

“the shelter of the Most High [[Where you]]
Will remain secure and rest.”

[[They were used to praying together as a family unit.
Communally, they knew where that spiritually safe place is located. ]]

[[They lived chaste and sacrificial lives, in the midst of a perverse generation.]]

“set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.”

[[We all know of podcasters whose family are veterans, serving in nearly every American conflict in the last 200 years.]]

[[My family comes from a linage of avowed pacifists, who gave of themselves to God for service to the least of these. ]]

[[My family is made of educators, farmers, nurses policemen, professors, truckers, teachers, evangelists, gospel singers, ministers, missionaries, social workers, a couple of doctors of divinity and I know of at least one physician. ]]

[[Then the commotion began to stir on the other side of the praying Unruh family. Certainly fear, would by now, begin to seep into any man’s soul.
But they’re not runners from a fight. Their weapons are not of this world.]]

[[Trying not to envision the soldiers crashing through their front and back doors simultaneously.
The envisioning will only draw fear.]]

V2 My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”

[[The Sanctuary of God’s Warming Presence, is going to be needed, in these next few days and weeks ahead.]]

For He will save you from the trap of the fowler,
And from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you and completely protect you with His *pinions,

[[‘*pinions’ feathers, the outer part of a bird's wing including the stiff outer edge of the flight feathers.]]

Verse 4 continued
And under His wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and a wall.

[[Think about that!
When has God failed you?]]

You will not be afraid of the terror of night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6
Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction (sudden death) that lays waste at noon.
7
A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But danger will not come near you.
8
You will only [be a spectator as you] look on with your eyes
And witness the [divine] repayment of the wicked [as you watch safely from the shelter of the Most High].
9
Because you have made the Lord, [who is] my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10
No evil will befall you,
Nor will any plague come near your tent.
11
For He will command His angels in regard to you,
To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
12
They will lift you up in their hands,
So that you do not [even] strike your foot against a stone.
13
You will tread upon the lion and cobra;
The young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.
14
“Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him;
I will set him [**securely] on high,

[[That word “**securely” is a contractual Word which means the value is fixed. In fact the word further means there is no possible threat or any danger of having any deficiencies in your gold bar.]]

“because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never].
15
“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
16
“With a long life I will satisfy him
And I will let him see My salvation.”
