Revelation 11: The Two Witnesses
In Revelation 11, the Apostle John wrote about “Two Witnesses” that shall appear on the earth sometime during the 7 year period that is the final 70th week of Daniel’s Prophecy.

The Two witnesses will be able to verify or prove something to be true, because they themselves have seen, or heard or known the thing to be proven, that is the definition of the original word translated to witness.

These two witnesses shall demonstrate supernatural powers similar to the powers that both Elijah & Moses demonstrated.

Now, what follows are the various candidates many have speculated could be the two witnesses of Revelation 11:
1.) Moses & Elijah
2.) Enoch & Elijah
3.) The Church & believing Jews
4.) The Archangels Michael & Gabriel
5.) John who wrote revelation & Elijah
6.) John who wrote Revelation & Moses

Now here are some questions to ask:
1.) Is there any Biblical indication that it is literally two individuals vs two groups?

2.) What are they witnesses of? What is their purpose?

3.) If there is a need for “two witnesses” where is the Church?

4.) Are there places in scripture where two mysterious figures are mentioned?

5.) Will the “two witnesses” appear in the first half of the 7 year period that is the 70th week of Daniel’s prophecy, or the second?

6.) Will the “temple” that John is asked to measure in that prophetic vision, be a physical temple or is Revelation 11 speaking of the current Temple that exists in this Church Age of Grace?

7.) What is the definition of the original Greek word translated to “witnesses” in Revelation 11?
