The Russian military began receiving 3OF82 fragmentation projectiles

They are used in the arsenal of the T-90M tanks and are designed to engage anti-tank vehicles and enemy infantry in shelters.

During air detonation, the projectile can hit the enemy with a directed stream of fragments or detonate above the target. It can be set to detonate instantly on impact or to detonate with low and high deceleration. The latter is a penetrating action to hit dugouts.

The 3OF82 is equipped with a 3VM-18 programmable fuze and contains 450 tungsten rods, producing 2,500 fragments.
