Hello everyone. In tonight's Bible study we continue with our series on God's purposes.

We are currently dealing with God's purpose for creating the worlds. Yes, worlds with an "S". The current world that we are living in will be totally annihilated.

Listen to the apostle Peter in 2 Peter 3:10-13
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away (be annihilated) with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; BOTH THE EARTH AND THE WORKS (sin) that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His (God's) promise, look for NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH in which righteousness dwells.

The apostle John saw the same thing.
Revelation 21:1
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

The Lord Jesus who just happens to be the Most High God said the same thing.
Isaiah 65:17 - The Glorious New Creation
“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.

There you have it. Then what does the scriptures teach concerning God's purpose for the church. Let's find out.

Today's study is 1 hour and 6 minutes in duration. I have broken it into two segments. This is segment 2 of 2 titled God's mystery of the purpose for the church. Part 2
