Allure is a favorite set of mine, but last year I wasn't really into it. The base cards were just way too chromed out, and the inserts left a bit to be desired. The whole set seemed like B side hits from OPC Platinum.

This year, they've made a few changes. The base cards are more colorful, without being so over the top shiny. There are some new inserts and paralells to be had as well.

A few changes, I'm not happy about though. For one...odds have chaged from a guaranteed auto in every box to either an auto, Doubloons, or 16-Bit.

I have a problem with the direction Upper Deck is headed with the 16-Bit cards. What started as an Easter Egg in the 21-22 Allure set, has progressively gotten easier and easier to hit. To me, the 16-Bit chase has lended itself to sort of making Allure popular. Now...it's just a harder to hit insert. Meh.
