Life is but the endless battle of perspectives. Let me explain. Life is diverse and complex. It is diverse in physical and abstract things like people, places, and ideas. It is also complex because even though we’re all interconnected as human beings, each of us thinks, acts, and lives differently from one another as highly influenced by ethnic roots, country of birth, religious conviction, degree of education, line of profession, political background, or even art obsession.

However, due to the fact that we’re social and political animals who don’t just aim to merely survive, we group ourselves into societies, regimes, factions, organizations, or institutions that help further our interests, agenda, and ambitions. From and within these group, we pursue ideas and beliefs that create competition thereby leading to a hierarchy of dominance. As we articulate our convictions and stances in pursuing careers and passions, we inevitably challenge and get challenged by opposing ideas held by others. Hence, the endless battle of perspectives.

The endless battle of perspectives can pertain to something as major as an ideological war on the global stage or as minor as petty local celebrity gossips. Whether big or small, we both assert and defend our perspectives wherever we go, to and from whoever we talk to, and in whatever we do for as long as we live.
