The Whiskey Rebellion was a 1794 uprising of farmers and distillers in western Pennsylvania in protest of a whiskey tax enacted by the federal government. The tax was in essence a defacto income tax on the farmers of the Western Frontier. It was also the first instance of a Federal Militia being turned upon American people.

There is nothing more healthy and moral than caring about your own people.
