Numbers, Part 1

Welcome to the Book of Numbers! God is orderly. God gave rules for how to be disciplined. How does this give you peace in your life? Come along as Amy teaches important lessons from the first ten chapters of Numbers. Nadab and Abihu, sons of Aaron were killed worshiping God in a way they thought was best, and not how God instructed. Within the freedom we have under the New Covenant, are you doing what you want to do, or how/what God wants you to do? Are you playing a role in the Body of Christ today, just as God instructed each tribe in the maintenance of the tabernacle throughout their journey? God requires holiness from us through ongoing purging, sanctification, ridding ourselves of habitual sin. What do you need to cast out of your camp/temple? How did God handle the spirit of jealousy? Do you sacrifice for the Lord like those who take the Nazarite vow? God's presence during the day was a large cloud over the tabernacle, providing shade in the middle of the desert. His fire at night provided heat and light. Even though His people were undergoing hardships, He was still providing and caring for them as they transformed from slaves to the people ready for the Promised Land. How do you know when to stay or move for the Lord? Do you have patience to wait on the Lord's timing in your own life?
