  • Everything in this post is what I do. What you do, is up to you, and only you are solely responsible for doing it. Please follow all laws where you live. The FN is slightly wider and slightly longer. That 'slightly' makes a big difference in pocket carry. Both are great quality pistols that will help you defend your life in a hurry. I carry a Taurus G2s eight shot 9mm that just disappears in my pocket. I can carry two more mags in a back pocket in a leather mag carrier for quick reloads. Those mags fit there like another wallet, not uncomfortable at all. I really like the G2s manual safety. I have trained myself to click it off when drawing the little pistol. If I had another choice and felt I needed to change, I'd probably get an eight shot Smith Shield, but for now, the Taurus is the perfect gun and gun size for me. I really cannot convey how comfortable this Taurus G2s is in my jeans pocket. It's like it's just not there. Very cool in public settings where people might get triggered, because you care about their life, as much as yours. I never pull my gun out in public unless there is a threat and so far, there has been no threat. Still, we are aware of our surroundings at all times, not drunk or high, and are willing to withdraw from the threat, and defend our life if need be. Hopefully, we will see things ahead of time and steer clear of any threats. If the threat pursues and attacks, we will be ready. Just be aware that things can go from "who is this?" to "oh, shit!" in just a few seconds so always be aware of who and what is around you, especially in public. I encourage every person to carry pepper spray on them everywhere, as well as a firearm. Just don't spray yourself, if you use it on a person who is attacking you. Temporarily blinding yourself is an awful way to try to start to defend your own life. But a good defensive use of pepper spray can give you time to withdraw and escape, and that's the best move always. Phone down, eyes up, stay aware.
