China's overproduction and low-price dumping of electric vehicles (EVs) have set off alarms among foreign governments and their policymakers. The United States and the European Union have responded with increased tariffs on Chinese EV's. However, what truly keeps Chinese EV industry leaders up at night isn't external hostilities but the specter of unhealthy competition in the domestic market.
