The Big Clock (1948)

"The Big Clock" is an American film noir thriller released in 1948, directed by John Farrow. The plot revolves around George Stroud (Ray Milland), the editor-in-chief of a crime magazine owned by the tyrannical Earl Janoth (Charles Laughton). When Janoth murders his mistress and frames Stroud, the latter must race against time to clear his name while evading capture and hiding within the magazine's headquarters, home to a massive clock that becomes a symbolic element in the suspenseful narrative.
