Kriss Vector 22LR Review

Ths @KRISSUSA Vector makes it back to the channel. This time, we're looking at the #SBR in #22LR

This is a compact, #semiautomatic #rifle which is well suited to both beginners and advanced users.

Using Kriss' Super V recoil mitigation system, this #firearm allows for very minimal muzzle rise and felt recoil, and due to its small footprint is fairly easy to handle, despite being a bit more weighty than some of the other 22 options out there.

If looks could kill, this thing would be a serial thriller. And while it's easy to take apart with only 4 pins and no tools required, it can be a huge hassle to clean because of the tight nooks and crannies on the interior of the body. Additionally, the blow back nature of the action makes for a dirtier gun that needs more frequent cleaning.

During testing we managed about 2.5-3.5 MOA with just a red dot, though we were using a shorter range and no shooting rest or table - just standing up.

I found that this particular rifle enjoys jacketed ammo more than pure lead nose, as the lead nose can foul up the gun even faster and get caught up in the action causing failures.

Overall though with its small footprint, ease of handling and affordable ammo, as well as awesome looks and very low recoil - this is a super fun gun to shoot. The downside make it harder to pull the trigger on it (in terms of a purchase decision) because it does tend to feel a bit heavy, the cost can be prohibitive to some, and it needs more frequent maintenance which also takes longer.

If the downsides don't bother you, this is a great showpiece and addition to your collection. If you're strapped for cash or don't like cleaning your firearms that often, this might be a pass like it is for me.
