The full meeting of the Fairfield County Commissioners' weekly meeting for July 23, 2024.

Public Comments began at the start of the meeting this week and ran through 10:38. The first speaker was Lancaster resident, Ray Stemen who offered a prayer for those in county government. Next, Melissa Hoover-Connor of Walnut Township with a group called Citizens for Fair Fields asked the Commissioners to support a resolution presented to Commission five weeks ago; specifically prohibiting what is known as the Eastern Cottontail Project citing provisions within Ohio Senate Bill 52. (https://citizensforfairfields.org/). The last speaker was Beth Cottrell of Amanda, OH in support of Melissa's statement and invited the Commissioners to an informational event. The Public Comments portion was concluded with a statement from Commissioner Jeff Fix reading legal advice that the commission not sign the resolution.

The remainder of the meeting were items related to the regular Legal Update and County Administrative Update(s) and the commission's "voting pattern".
