The events of this weekend represent major flaws with today’s society. We have lost the ability to have public discourse along with the media's vilification of a candidate and political party by the media. What we saw was not only an attack on our election process but also on President Trump's ability to speak directly to his constituents. Our thoughts are with the Comperatore family as they process this tragic loss. We are thankful that President Trump was able to walk away with only minor injuries.

As someone who has built over 300 Presidential events, this attack hits close to home. I’m thankful for the US Secret Service, especially the President's detail for their quick reaction. However, this incident should have never taken place. I hope that a full and transparent investigation will reveal where the breakdowns occurred, and that full accountability will be held. I am also hopeful that the Biden DHS and USSS authorize full protective status with adequate resources be given to the Trump and RFK campaigns.

In our industry, we have to get it right 100% of the time. A bad actor only has to get it right once. Unfortunately, on Saturday, that disturbed individual got it right for once. I hope that we never experience this situation again. For those in the media, technology, and holding political offices, your actions have consequences. Only reporting one side of the narrative and calling a Presidential candidate a "dictator" and "fascist" have consequences, especially when you only report negatives. Those actions have results, and they should be held accountable.

I pray for a speedy recovery of President Trump and hope that we as a nation never come this close to a political candidate being killed ever again.
