This was perhaps my most uncomfortable investigation — creating an alias on a homosexual hook-up app to confirm a tip about a Tennessee priest.

That priest, whom we'll call "Father X," was on this hook-up app every day, for many hours a day — even as he baptized children, heard confessions and offered Mass — all while his flock was kept in the dark.

Susan Vance, head of SNAP Tennessee, who did incredible work spearheading the investigation, gathered the documentation and brought it to the diocese of Knoxville.
