Gina Carano’s Disney Lawsuit is Moving Forward

A district judge in California ruled that Gina Carano’s lawsuit against the Walt Disney Company can move forward after rejecting the company’s argument for dismissal.

The actress was previously fired by Disney and Lucasfilm after she voiced messages on social media critical of far-left ideals. The final straw for her was when she shared an Instagram post that was calling for people not to demonize those they disagree with because that’s what Germany did prior to World War II. After Disney fired Gina Carano, they made statement defaming her character while lying about the posts she made on social media. In California where the lawsuit is brought an employee is granted legal protections from their employer on the basis of political opinions.
