The space under my kitchen sink is a dumping ground for part used bottles of cleaner, bleach dishwasher tablets, rags and any other kitchen and household bits and pieces I can bring myself to throw out. Hopefully this twin pack of shelving units from Eufrozy and bring a bit of order to the chaos under there.
In the robust but rather unexciting box, I received two upper shelves, two lower shelves, eight metal legs, eight clip-on hooks, eight leg caps, one external basket and a two page assembly guide. Also, I am not sure why, in the box was a stick-on bathroom soap holder. Build quality all seems excellent and much better than the poorly made, ill fitting and rather flimsy rivals I have tried before. Everything here appears robust, heavy duty and built to last with all the bits fitting together securely and without a struggle the first time.
Although the set is designed to make a pair of two level units, there is no reason why a single four tier shelving unit cannot be made instead. The units are 40 x 22 cm in size with a maximum assembled height of 43cm.
Assembly is easy enough. First, decide on the shelving height you need and adjust the metal legs accordingly, with each leg having three length levels available giving a top to ground height of between 30 and 43 cm. Press each leg into the corresponding corner hole in the base unit (the one with the pull-out tray) and the push to top shelf down onto the legs and tap down to seat them securely. That's it. You can then position the external hooks and basket along the tray edges as you wish.
Once assembled the unit feels tough and robust, it does not wobble, flex or seem likely to fail anytime soon. It has a top shelf load bearing capacity of 45 kg, so it should be good for pretty much anything.
As plastic shelving units go it is not unattractive and is good enough for use pretty much anywhere and does not need to be hidden away under the sink or in the shed.
Priced at £38.99 for the twin set, there are cheaper rivals out there but they would be doing well to rival this one for strength, build quality or design. A pretty decent buy, I think
