The King David Hotel bombing occurred on July 22, 1946, in Jerusalem. The bombing was carried out by the Irgun, a Zionist paramilitary organization, targeting the British Army headquarters in the hotel. The attack resulted in the deaths of 91 people, including 41 Arabs, 28 British, 17 Jews, and 5 others of various nationalities. The Irgun terrorists are still celebrated as heroes today in Israel.
