In the state of Colorado there is a term locally known as "a 14er". This is in reference to a mountain with an elevation exceeding 14,000 ft above sea level. Many people aspire to climb these mountains during the summer, but we wanted to take this idea to the absolute limit. Even the among these behemoths, one mountain stands higher than all others: Mount Elbert at 14,433 ft. It is the tallest 14er, the tallest mountain in Colorado, and the tallest mountain in the Rocky Mountains!
