Dear Pastor Bob: Many Christians teach that God will never leave us or forsake us (as the Bible tells us), but that we can use our free will to leave Him. In other words, if we tell God we’ve had it and we no longer want Him, we can kick God out of our heart. And God will honor our wishes and leave us be. Is this Biblical? And some say that once we kick God out, we have committed apostasy, and are forever doomed to the torments of hell. My question is this: will God keep His end of the bargain even if we don’t?
