What does America first mean?

As I thought about this phrase I couldn't stop thinking about my community, my friends and my family. Of course we want our families and friends and county to be put first in our governments eyes. For most of us we share the same values. We care about strangers that were in a accident. We give money and food and clothing to the homeless. We help the homeless to get on their feet and help get their own homes, because we want everyone to be successful. So when the government puts America first it allows us to use for of our resources to help others.
