who can apply for Teachers Associateship for Research Study?

Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence (TARE)

The Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) has opened applications for the Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence (TARE). This distinguished opportunity is open to Indian citizens holding a PhD in Science/Engineering or an MS/MD degree in Medicine. Individuals successfully chosen for TARE will receive a fellowship of INR 60,000 per year, in addition to their regular salary. The program also incorporates a research grant of INR 5,00,000 annually, distributed equally between the host and parent institutions, covering overheads as per SERB norms.
Eligibility:-
To be eligible the candidate should be
1. Hold Indian citizenship.
2. Currently hold a regular academic/research position in state universities, colleges, or private academic institutions.
3. Applicants must be 45 years old when applying. Please note that candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged and Women categories are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation.
4. The mentor must hold the position of Associate Professor, Scientist, or a higher level.
5. Only one candidate is allowed to work with a mentor at any given time.
