Oakley - test of skills learned - 22 July 2024

Oakley the 2yr old Paint gelding has been in training for nearly a month. So today we are testing to see how he is doing on "stand unrestrained for hoof trimming" AND "send in and tail tug out" of all four slots in a four horse slant load trailer AND "line driving" AND being ponied skills - go behind - stay in position - even canter.

While in training thus far Oakley has logged 75.5 road and trail miles - mostly being ponied but some doing line driving. Yes I very strongly believe that in addition to solid foundational training it takes REAL miles actually going somewhere to make a good horse.

Remember to intentionally, on purpose, learn of God each day by prayerfully reading, studying, and pondering upon God's word each day. Talk to God in prayer as your Heavenly Father who would like for you to be His friend. Find out what He would like you to do for Him as His friend and go and do it for Him as His friend. Yes very intentionally, very much on purpose, become the friend of God. And have a blessed day!!
