Mike Perry is a well known fighter with experience in the UFC and is the sitting BKFC champion. Jake Paul notched a win over this level of opponent. With a sixth round knockout, Perry had no answer for Jake Paul’s jab. With his win, is it time for Jake Paul to fight actual boxers now?

Did we see improvement from Jake Paul? Maybe so. But not enough for an opponent the level of Mike Perry. Sure Perry is a known fighter, but he’s far from being a boxer in skill-wise. We need to see some more improvement from Jake Paul against a higher level opponent.

Mike Perry was just horrible defensively. He had no answer to Jake Paul’s jab and by the end of the fight, anything that touched Mike Perry hurt him. In the sixth round, Mike Perry’s body couldn’t hold anymore damage. Paul pounced and Mike Perry beat the eight count but stumbled in doing so. The fight was called off.

Jake Paul scored another knockout. He’s racking up quite the highlight reel but the level of opponents are lacking. Even when he fights “boxers” he doesn’t get credit. Is that deserved? Maybe. It’s time for Jake Paul to fight someone near his weight.
