James Gunn REVEALS Which DCU Projects Are In Production... and Which Ones Aren't (Yet)

James Gunn confirms which DCU Projects are currently in production, and subsequently which projects haven't been greenlit.

James Gunn took to Threads, as he is wont to do, to reply to a fan who asked "Is Paradise Lost in production?" Gunn replied that "nothing is in production unless it's been greenlit." He then went on to list which were actively being produced, saying "right now that's Superman, Supergirl, Penguin, Peacemaker, Lanterns and a handful of animated projects.

Gunn went on to say that despite these other titles, "known and unknown", not being greenlit, they are all still in active development.

The first movie in James Gunn's DCU to be released will be Superman, which soars into theaters on July 11, 2025. The film will see David Corenswet don the suit and become the Man of Steel opposite Rachel Brosnahan's Lois Lane.
