"The Hitch-Hiker" is an American film noir thriller released in 1953, directed by Ida Lupino. The plot follows two friends, Roy Collins and Gilbert Bowen, on a fishing trip to Mexico. Their vacation takes a dark turn when they pick up a hitchhiker, Emmett Myers, who turns out to be a psychopathic killer on the run. As Myers holds them captive, the two men must use their wits and courage to escape his clutches before it's too late. The film stars Edmond O'Brien as Roy Collins, Frank Lovejoy as Gilbert Bowen, and William Talman as Emmett Myers.
