"Bulldog Drummond" is an American pre-Code crime film released in 1929, directed by F. Richard Jones. The plot follows Hugh "Bulldog" Drummond, a former British military officer bored with civilian life, who seeks adventure by responding to a personal ad from a woman claiming to be in danger. He soon finds himself entangled in a web of intrigue, murder, and deception as he tries to rescue the woman and her uncle from a sinister conspiracy. The film stars Ronald Colman as Bulldog Drummond, Joan Bennett as Phyllis Benton, and Lilyan Tashman as Irma.
