"A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" is an American musical comedy film released in 1949, directed by Tay Garnett. Based on Mark Twain's novel, the plot follows Hank Martin, a mechanic from 1912 Connecticut who, after a blow to the head, finds himself transported back in time to King Arthur's court in Camelot. Using his knowledge of modern technology, Hank becomes a powerful figure, but his efforts to modernize the kingdom lead to conflict with the knights and threaten to disrupt the delicate balance of Arthurian society. The film stars Bing Crosby as Hank Martin, Rhonda Fleming as Alisande La Carteloise, and Cedric Hardwicke as King Arthur.
