Vice President Kamala Harris has announced her intention to seek the Democratic nomination after President Joe Biden stepped down from the 2024 race. Biden, who had previously announced his intention to seek reelection, stated that it was in the best interest of his party and the country for him to stand down and focus on fulfilling his duties for the remainder of his term. Biden also endorsed Harris, stating that he would offer his full support and endorsement for her to be the nominee for the party this year.
