Tonight’s topic is: Woman is a Door. The concept of marriage is much deeper than you realize.

Our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel—one must be very specific these days—is a beyond genius Creator/Designer. He knows the end from the beginning. You’ll never catch Him unawares. In His designs, there is purpose, some overt, others subtle.

The era of the Scriptures emanates from the ancient past. The Bible contains concepts foreign to our modern world, especially in the West, which is based largely on Greco-Roman thought rather than a Near Eastern, Hebraic mindset. But Near Eastern/Hebraic is the setting of the Scriptures, even Matt-Rev, as the writers were Hebrews—So we need to have Near Eastern/Hebraic glasses on when we open The Book.

Out of necessity, I’m going to get a bit earthy here to reveal an insight. Did you ever wonder why God designed a woman with a hymen? Why? Was it only a means to determine virginity?
The complete answer is much more compelling.

Our Creator designed a male and a female human being.

Beresheet/Genesis 1:27-28a, “Elohim created man in His own image, in the image of Elohim He created him; male and female He created them. Elohim blessed them; and Elohim said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it . . . ‘"

Second Witness:

Beresheet/Genesis 5:1-2, “This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when Elohim created man, He made him in the likeness of Elohim. He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them ‘Adam’ (Man) in the day when they were created.

Note that He calls both male and female: ‘Adam’ which in Hebrew is man or mankind.
We are of the kind: Adam, fashioned by the Designer, the Creator, from the adama – the ground. God created them in His Likeness and He blessed them. He then commanded the male and female of the adam kind, to be fruitful and multiply. This is the origins of the marriage between a male and female. This is the holy standard. One Man. One Woman, united in marriage for life. Why for life? Because marriage is a covenant, of the Near Eastern/Hebraic kind.

During marital relations on the wedding night, the virgin woman becomes a “door” for the man, he must cross the threshold; the hymen is then pierced and blood flows. This is interesting. The Biblical Hebrew word for specifically “female”: it is נְקֵבָה nek-ay-baw' which means to pierce or puncture. What you are really seeing here on the wedding night is: Ancient Threshold Covenant. You have the door. You have the blood. The two become One Flesh as the blood covenant is cut. And remember, Blood covenants are forever. That is the holy standard for marriage. As commanded in Genesis, it is to be between a biological male and a biological female united in love, till death do us part.

Remember Messiah Yeshua told us in Matisyahu/Matthew 19:6, "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." This Law for marriage was given to us by our Creator and remains the healthiest, safest, and best practice for mankind, resulting in solid families and societies.

Regardless of what beliefs are being pushed on us by modern culture, God Ways remain the standard to follow. He is our Creator . . . "
