On January 4, 2024, a man rented a vehicle from an Enterprise car rental branch in Key Largo, FL. When the rental period ended, he failed to return the vehicle. Despite Enterprise's efforts to contact him over the next two months, they were unsuccessful. Subsequently, Enterprise reported the incident to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, which later located the vehicle. When deputies contacted the man, things didn't quite go his way. Records show that in 2022, he was charged with felony failure to return a leased vehicle, but the prosecutor later dismissed the case.
