EXCERPT: "Welcome to the Shuv Show. I’m your host, Christene Jackman. Before we get to our topic:
First off, my heart is so incredibly heavy and tears come often regarding the war Israel is fighting against Hamas. The atrocities committed by the Hamas terrorists are war crimes. They are not fighters. They are not militants. They are rabid dogs. And they have punched the eye of the Almighty, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/Israel. Woe to them that poke that Bear.
Pray that the hearts of Hamas would turn from violence, which is what the Hebrew word Chamas means, pray that they would instead turn to the God of Israel, who is the God of the Universe. Pray for Israel. Pray that God would send out His Spirit of Grace and Supplication so that Israel will see Her King and Messiah, Yeshua. Salvation. May she fulfill her calling as Firstborn of the Nations. May the Father send back Yeshua, Son of David, to take His rightful Throne in Jerusalem. May he come and wars cease.

Pray with me as Messiah Yeshua taught us: (Matthew 6:9-13)

Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Here’s another great prayer from the Holy Scriptures, by King David, from 1 Chronicles 29:

10 So David blessed YHVH in the sight of all the assembly; and David said, “Blessed are You, YHVH God of Israel our father, forever and ever. 11 Yours, YHVH, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and on the earth; Yours is the dominion, YHVH, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. 12 Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone. 13 Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name.
14 “But who am I and who are my people that we should [j]be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You. 15 For we are strangers before You, and temporary residents, as all our fathers were; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope. 16 YHVH our God, all this abundance that we have provided to build You a house for Your holy name, it is from Your hand, and everything is Yours. 17 Since I know, my God, that You put the heart to the test and delight in uprightness, I, in the integrity of my heart, have willingly offered all these things; so now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here, make their offerings willingly to You. 18 YHVH, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the [k]intentions of the hearts of Your people, and direct their hearts to You; 19 and give my son Solomon a perfect heart to keep Your commandments, Your testimonies, and Your statutes, and to do them all, and to build the [l]temple for which I have made provision.”
20 Then David said to all the assembly, “Now bless YHVH your God.” And all the assembly blessed YHVH, the God of their fathers, and bowed down and paid [m]homage to YHVH and the king.

Now to the heart of tonight’s topic: True or False: “The Law was given as a punishment.”
I just heard this statement again the other day and it makes my heart cringe. So much misunderstanding surrounds this thing we call “The Law of Moses” or MT Sinai Law, or The Law or the Torah. But this statement takes the cake: The law was given as a punishment.
From the Scripture we just read, obviously David did not regard the Law as a bad thing . . . "
