According to Musk, he is terrified that AI would be used for making incredibly effective propaganda and therefore we will be left behind by a lot. However, he added that he has tried to convince people to slow down AI but it has been too late. On several occasions, Elon has warned us about the possible dangers of artificial intelligence. As a matter of fact, several videos exist about his warnings about this. Increasingly, he believes that artificial intelligence could potentially destroy the entire human civilization. As an example, when Elon was invited to speak at SXSW, he broke his silence about AI for the first time, stating that artificial intelligence might be as dangerous as nuclear weapons if allowed to develop unrestricted. According to him, he emphasized that the danger posed by artificial intelligence is much greater than the danger posed by nuclear warheads. Likewise, no one would suggest allowing anyone to just build nuclear warheads if they so desire -- that would be ridiculous. He even added to mark his words that human intelligence is far more dangerous than nuclear weapons. What are the reasons we don't have any proper regulatory oversight? Moreover, Elon Musk expressed his reservations about artificial intelligence development at the Recode’s Code Conference. Further, Elon is also concerned about AI's future direction if some directions will lead to a negative outcome.
