Goggles and I Comfort Each Other Over Scooty's Disappearance -A Bittersweet Moment

July 19th, 2023, Part 3 -Good Friends We Have And....
After feeding the birds and having a look at the new generation of wallabies,
I sit down with Goggles who is looking decidedly sorrowful.
Having observed him for over ten years, and seen him through many ups and downs, I know I am not " anthropomorphizing". Hopeful as we are, it doesn't look like his much-loved older brother Scooty, is going to be returning.
After telling him what an Honorable Wallaby he is,
that he's the head of the Tribe now and how much I love him,
He catches me by surprise, moving into my space, sniffing my face, touching my heart with his paw, and giving me permission to pat him!
Although he's always been brave and friendly, this kind of affection is on the next level. I guess our mutual grief, bought us closer together.
